Mansarda apartment
It’s a 50m2 apartment built using ancient building techniques with wooden structure and lime and earth mortars. In the last 30 years, the successive interventions to maintain the building, used cement and plastic paints and other modern materials which are not compatible with the original ones, leading the building to a dramatic state of degradation.
Our intervention goal is to recover and respect the original sense but respecting our time requirements in terms of spatial comfort, energy and thermal efficiency.

É um apartamento de 50m2 construído com técnicas constructivas antigas com argamassas de terra, cal e estrutura em madeira. Nos últimos 30 anos, as sucessivas intervenções de manutenção do edifício, utilizaram cimento e tintas plásticas e outros materiais modernos não compatíveis com os originais que conduziram a uma dramática degradação do mesmo.
O objetivo da nossa intervenção é recuperar e respeitar o sentido original construtivo mas respeitando as exigências de conforto espacial, eficiência energética e térmica.
