There’s a growing desire for a different way of living. Less generic and more grounded.
Earth, cork and timber are not aesthetic choices.
They regulate temperature, humidity and comfort.
They create spaces that feel stable, calm and alive.
The difference is in the design, as a process not as form. You can build with “good materials” and still end up with a generic house.
What matters is how light, proportion, climate and use are resolved.
This is not romantic or improvised.
It’s a synthesis of traditional knowledge and contemporary design and knowledge, craftsmanship and industry standards.

Terra, Madeira e Cortiça na Arquitectura Contemporânea
Paredes de terra. Madeira e cortiça. Luz natural. Arquitectura enraizada no lugar e no clima.
Parece algo que sempre fez parte dos edifícios. Em parte, fez. Os materiais nobres são parte da história da construção. Mas hoje temos mais ferramentas, mais conhecimento para os trabalhar com precisão e maior eficiência.
Existe um desejo crescente por uma forma diferente de habitar. Menos genérica, mais enraizada.
A terra, a cortiça e a madeira não são escolhas estéticas. Regulam a temperatura, a humidade e o conforto. Criam espaços que transmitem estabilidade, calma e vida.
A diferença está no projecto: como processo, não como forma. É possível construir com “bons materiais” e obter na mesma uma casa genérica.
O que importa é como a luz, a proporção, o clima e o uso são resolvidos em conjunto.
Não como caminho romnântico ou de improviso. É uma síntese de conhecimento tradicional e design contemporâneo, do saber manual e das normas da indústria.
Uma forma diferente de habitar. Construída com intenção.
